Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Zorzen Studios ("we", "us") and govern your use of the BlockFair: Block Puzzle mobile application (the "App") and the website blockfair.net (the "Site"). By installing or using the App or Site, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App or Site.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from. We must not — and you may not permit others to — be deprived of our rights: you must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. Purchases — "BLOCKFAIR Forever"

• The App offers a single, optional, one-time purchase ("BLOCKFAIR Forever", €4.99 or local equivalent). It is not a subscription and involves no recurring charges or consumable purchases.
• Payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. We never receive your payment details.
• The purchase is tied to your store account. You may restore it on any device signed into the same store account, from within the App, without contacting support.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies. Statutory rights, including EU withdrawal rights, are unaffected.

4. Our fairness commitment

Piece generation in the App is driven by a seeded, documented, publicly verifiable algorithm. We commit that difficulty and piece generation are never manipulated in connection with monetization. This commitment is a product promise; it does not create liability for gameplay outcomes, which remain a matter of chance and skill within the documented algorithm.

5. Ads

The free version of the App displays advertising provided by Google AdMob: interstitial ads at game-over only, and rewarded ads solely when you opt in. Purchasing BLOCKFAIR Forever removes all advertising permanently. If a rewarded ad fails to play, the associated reward is granted anyway.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the App or Site for any unlawful purpose;
• interfere with, disrupt, or place disproportionate load on the App, the Site, or connected services;
• circumvent, disable, or tamper with purchase validation, advertising, or the fairness mechanism;
• misrepresent gameplay results generated by a tampered client as authentic (including on any future leaderboards).

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The App, the Site, and all content in them (including the BlockFair name, artwork, design, and code) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The game-rules specification and fairness algorithm are published for verification purposes; publication does not transfer any ownership rights.

8. Disclaimers

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App, the Site, or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, and we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for intent or gross negligence), or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and highlighted in the App; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The BLOCKFAIR Forever purchase remains valid across updates.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court under applicable law. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

12. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one closest to its intent. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
